the february synopsis
Heather and I were so pleased to hear that we have a fan base who checks our blog regularly! We had no clue anyone even cared about the blog so I didn't really bother updating it often... BUT, now that we know differently you can expect the blogs to keep on coming.
Things you guys have missed... Our new thing is unbirthdays! Heather faked another birthday this year... and even went to the extent of changing her facebook birthday thing to a different day. (She did this with much persuasion from me). And we had a grand ole time celebrating her 21st unbirthday! She enjoyed the texts and messages all day long from her "friends" and I even bought her a card and baked her a cake! Now, ladies and gents, if you know me at all then you know it is a big deal for me to bake anything, more the less a cake. This was the first cake I have ever baked and the second thing I have ever baked period. So we took pics and did the unbirthday dance! Please tell me you've seen Alice in Wonderland? If not, click here. If yes, click here. Everyone should celebrate surprise unbirthdays!
Gilbert is bad. bad. bad. Don't get me wrong, we love him, but he is bad. I have never seen a cat act this way, ever. You see, Gilbert sleeps all day while Heather and I are gone... so he is awake all night while Heather and I are cherishing sleep. He has spent many nights in the laundry room and bathroom because of his wildness. He is crazy! All night long he will run across the bed and behind the bed and around the room and over the desks and across our faces and from counter to counter and bite our legs and attack our arms. He has so much energy and it is so annoying to hear his feet pitter patter across the floor ALL stinkin' NIGHT. The other day Heather was on the computer and all of a sudden her keyboard stopped working... she knew Gilbert was behind her computer and low and behold, he chewed a hole in her keyboard cord. So Gilbert was in big big trouble for that one. He spent the night outside. He also spent the night outside when I was getting ready for bed, it was like 3am, and Gilbert is on his wild rant in the bathroom and that cat climbs UP the PLASTIC shower curtain. Seriously. He poked holes in it with his claws to get up there and when he made it up he got stuck and couldn't get his claws out and starting meowing. It was the loudest, strangest, thing to see at 3am and I just wasn't in a good mood so I through him in the laundry room. (haha, and at this very moment heather is squirting Gilbert with the "bad kitty" water bottle for no reason at all)
A few more things before I go, last weekend Heather and I went to Savannah and took her more fuel efficient car, which is a stick shift. About halfway there Heather was so gracious to let me drive and we stopped at a truck stop and I did some practice rounds. It took about 10 good minutes of stalling and embarrassment before I could even leave the truck stop. We recorded a video but it won't stinkin' upload! so aggravating. I am going to try to get it to upload later.
And all in all yesterday was SUCH a fun day and although we didn't get much work done we needed it and I haven't laughed that hard in a while. It started around 3pm when Heather and I discovered you can leave video messages on facebook. Oh what fun. (check out adam, lezley, noemi, goode, randy, scott, peter, holly's facebook page to be impressed) After about 10 of them we were sweating and laughing so hard and had to leave to go to the Sigma Nu house at Tech to raise money for Brazil! (I leave for Brazil in 13 days!) We also went to a friends really sweet recording studio and then headed to Roswell for crazy fun with Peter and Jim from The Office (seriously this kid does look like Jim) but his name is Adam. SOOOOO much fun! hahaa... I don't know what got into me but the game we played consisted of spitting tic tacs across the room at each other and if they missed and hit the floor we just picked them up and continued on. (so digusting, I cannot believe I partook in this) We eventually moved onto gum, which flew from adams mouth into the couch behind the cushion... and... I... ewww... just was a champion and continued on playing the game with the saliva filled couch gum. Heather almost vomitted. She hates gum. So this gum really made her sick. (I also understand that this does not sound "fun" to anyone who is reading this but seriously if you were there you would understand, dont judge me. ha.)
So, that's a very long recap, they won't be that long from here on out. I will do better about posting now that I know we have people interested in our lives.
Heather, Gilbert, and I are doing fabulous. We are about to start looking for a house to move into this May and I will post a LOT about Brazil trip! Also, Heather has to make $45 a day to save up for school and she is on a job mission so I know she will have interesting stories to come with that.
I don't' mean to get all sappy for this moment but I am just so happy and so thankful for my amazing friends and for the life I live. I enjoy every moment of life. A lot of things haven't made sense lately and I am confused and searching for answers in many different areas of my life, but I know it is all going to work for the the best because I have the savior of my soul on my team. I just truly love you all and I hope you know that.
